On Wednesday the 23th of September the third edition of the Best Fresh Foundation Charity Golf took place at Golf Club Broekpolder in Vlaardingen. Because COVID0-19 the format was slighty slimmed down, nevertheless it was a very beautiful day!
As part of the CSR policy of Best Fresh, the Best Fresh Foundation (BFF) has been established in 2010 by employees of our affiliated companies. By means of the Best Fresh Foundation, Best Fresh shows her responsibility for and contribution to society. During the BFF Golf Tournament 2020 the participants played for “The Westerhonk”. For more than 550 people with a disability the Westerhonk in Monster is their home, together with 100 private residents.
A total of 60 very enthusiastic participants came to Vlaardingen. After the participants had registered, received their goodiebag and were reminded of the RIVM measures, the tournament could begin. During the tournament teams of four walked a total of 18 holes to play Texas Scramble for victory. On the course the participants could enjoy delicious and healthy smoothies, made of products from Best Fresh.
At the end of the tournament everybody could enjoy a drink in the clubhouse. Before dinner the award ceremony took place, where the winners of the 'Longest' and the 'Neary' and the winning team were announced. After the award ceremony it was time to announce the amount of the cheque. The Best Fresh Foundation was allowed to present a beautiful cheque of € 15.000,- to 's Heeren Loo Het Westerhonk. Earlier in the day one of the participants punched a hole-in-one, which was celebrated with an additional donation of € 200, -. This fantastic amount will get a beautiful destination.
